Attractions
Handicraft, pottery and leatherworking are all part of Ängelholm´s cultural traditions. Today you can experience it at museums, in art galleries, potters´ workshops and churches.
There is a great public interest in art, and many artists live and work in the area. We have about ten art galleries, most of which are open all year round.
The homestead park "Hembygdsparken" is an oasis for the whole family with its summer open museums. There is also a small zoo with Scandinavian animals, a popular playground and a café & restaurant. Open all year, no entrance fee.
42 hits The museum contains 8 fire engines. The oldest is a T-Ford from 1926. Fire engines, old fire alarm receivers, hand drawn pumps and other objects from the mid-19th century.  Ängelholms Hembygdspark is an oasis for the whole family. The park has a zoo, 5 museums and a playground for young children.  Real aircraft & lots of models. History of flight, films, interiors. Sit in Draken's cockpit. Flight simulator. Handicap access. Free parking.  Luntertun, the old town at the mouth of the River Rönne å, features the ruins of the Mediaeval predecessor of Ängelholm church. The only fixture from Luntertun is the church tower from 1470. The present church was built in 1868, and the interior is from 1941.  An Art Gallery showing paintings, ceramics and sculpturs of etablished artists. Open nine moth a year.  The church opened in 1858 on the site of a former church. The older church probably dates back to the 13th Century, as does the current steeple.  Traditional farm, built in 1774 as 4 half-timbered sections. Dean E Diehl's work room, large collection of books and a beautiful country cupboard from 1830.  The older pieces, including the Baptismal font, are from the early 12th Century. The retable by David Jastro dates from the 18th Century. The painted glass in the nave and ne ...  Arts & crafts shop in one of Sweden's oldest preserved small schoolhouses, offering ceramics, wrought iron, wood, textiles, birch-bark, straw & more.  A large ostrich farm, with hundreds of large and small ostriches. The main focus of the ostrich industry is the rearing of slaughter ostriches.  Gallery with exhibitions and sales of various artists. Located in Råå, just south of Helsingborg.  Art shows with mainly lokal painters.  Elisabeth Grönvall. Watercolours w. motifs fr. the area, also on nautical charts. Summer café w. sea view & home-baked goods. Small gift shop.  The Art Gallery Moment, situated in the town library, shows high class exhibitions.  Exihibitions featuring artists from all over Sweden and Europe. Lectures and concerts. Display and sale of work by around 90 artists.  This artist does after twelve years in Italy, moved back its operations to Sweden, where she already had lots of exhibitions.
 Farm garden from the 1800s, the German symmetrical style released in English landscape style.  Ancestral Farm with an intect interior from the end of the 19th century. Fire Museum. Café.  Neo-classical stone church built in 1842-1843, replacing a 12th Century church.  Höja old church was demolished in 1880, and the present Gothic church built in 1882.  The history of Crown Princess Victoria's Coastal Sanatorium, which created a whole village. Free admission.  Leather and Local History Museum, built 2007.  The important thing is not for Lottie to collect rarities, but to create nice atmosphere in the garden.  Furnished timber cottage from 1673, originally from Skälderviken. Late 12th Century church, given its present appearance following substantial renovation work in 1865. At the same time, the late 12th Century round arch portal was moved to the current entrance. The church is largely built in the 1800s in the middle of the foundation of a 1200-century church.  Probably from the 13th Century. Prehistoric sacrifical site next to the church.  Built in 1817 with interesting Middle Class interior from the latter half of the 19th century.  King Farm is now art gallery with a focus on Swedish and international contemporary art.
