The Public Recreational Area of Kronoskogen - nature area with beautiful scenery inside Skälderviken´s unbroken beachline with natural, inland sand dunes. The plantation of Kronoskogen was started in 1739 to rescue Ängelholm from the drifting sand. Along the coast from Vejbystrand to the harbour of Magnarp you will find windswept vegetation of thrift and shrubs as well as rugosa roses and juniper thickets, where small birds and ducks breed. The heath is a beech- protected area since 1975. Prästängen is a small woodland area around Tåstarp covered with oak and hazel. Prästängen became a nature reserve in 1967. In spring the carpet of wood anemones is a must for a visit. The island Sandön at the mouth of the river Vegeån. The island changes its shape and size, which is unusual for islands in Sweden.
