"No place in Europe surpasses this place in charm, beauty, climate and prosperity." This is how the famous Swedish botanist Carl von Linnaeus described the plain of Ängelholm on his journey through Scania in 1749. Ängelholm is the town by the river Rönneå. The surroundings form a Sweden in miniature - forests, lakes, ridges and beaches, hills and plains and the sea to the west with its particular fascination. There are many interesting places to visit outside the centre of the town.
Ängelholms Havsbad with the 6 km long beach and a long bathing jetty is tempting you to go sea-bathing and swimming. Already in the 1880's Ängelholm became known as a health and seaside resort. Today you will find several restaurants, hotels, a group of summer cottages for hire and a camping ground here.
Skälderviken is easily accessible by boat and in the marina you will also find some small stalls. Skånes Gymnastikförbund (gymnastics association) has a large sports plant at Skälderviken with 230 bed places. Restaurant Carl Fredrik and the harbour restaurant Hamnkrogen are popular eating-places, and Skåne Marin is at your disposal with boat service and canoes for hire.
